• Explore all areas of Woodman Controls Company in order to find an area to utilize interns’ skills to eventually grow into a full-time position

Department Internship Opportunities

• IT Department:

  • Assist in responsibility of maintaining computers, IT systems, software development and upgrades, maintaining network design and reliability, assist in programming and downloading HVAC controllers.

• Software and Design Engineering:

  • Assist with development of visio control drawings, construction document markups and installation guides, assist in creating construction parts schedules, submitting information to engineers, assist in programming sequence of operations and graphics software.

• Project Manager/Technician:

  • Assist with onsite construction project coordination with sub-contractors and end users, assist in HVAC system start-up and commissioning, assist in onsite project meetings and meeting construction deadlines.

Expected Results

• Learn the above areas of Woodman Controls and determine the best opportunity given the skill set of the intern.

Position Prerequisites

• Must have IT or HVAC basic knowledge.

• Must have graduated high school and currently enrolled or recently graduated college.

• Must have strong communication skills.

• Must know Excel and willing to learn other software programs utilized in the company. ​

 

Training

• Organization training (1 day)

• On the job training to become proficient at this position (3 months) with experience

• On the job training to become proficient at this position (1 year) with no experience
